According to the order № PQ-3769 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan about “Application to the universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 2018/2019 academic year” Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies to the full-time studies assigns 465 places for students on 7 directions among them 115 grants, 350 on contract basis, to the night school assigns 4 grants, 135 on contract basis, to the education by correspondence assigns 4 grants, 100 on contract basis.
Selection committee of TSIOS worked from 15th of June till 31 of July, 2018.
3456 institute entrants applied to the full-time studies of TSIOS. 2628 institute entrants applied to the Uzbek groups and 828 to the Russian groups. Also 82 of them passed military service (75 of them applied to the Uzbek groups, 7 to the Russian groups), 2 the winners of scientific contest and 10 foreigners. Besides of them is blind.
147 institute entrants, which applied to the full-time studies passed creative exam (110 in Uzbek and 37 in Russian).
9 institute entrants enter to the night school “5120119 – Philology and teaching languages” (Turkish)
13 institute entrants enter to the night school “5120121 – Philology and teaching languages” (Persian).
TSIOS assigned 133 places (102 Uzbek, 31 Russian), among them 19 grants (16 Uzbek, 3 Russian) and 114 on contract basis (86 Uzbek, 28 Russian).
Selection committee to the 2018/2019 academic year applied 158 applicants to 11 specialties. Among them 125 to Uzbek groups, 33 to the Russian groups, 3 of them holders of State grants, 2 of them – blind and 2 foreigners.
